Even though I have been through a long trainee period, I still have many flaws. Having to lead the group as a leader was to me was a miracle. Time flies and Wonder Girls has been around for 6 years. The overseas stint broadened my horizons. What we experienced was something that cannot be traded for and I’ve also realized that “living is indeed a miracle.”

Because of those misunderstandings, I feel like I should take responsibility for the situation, especially as the leader. So I thought about it. I asked myself, “Is this really one of our group’s major flaws?” I prayed about it too. But the more deeply I thought about it, what I felt was, there’s no need for us to be exactly like other groups - all five of us, we each have our own personality, and those are the kind of girls that have been joined together. - Sunye

Yeah, I know she’s the youngest one in our group, But so many times, we really get refreshment from her. Because, as you see, I’m pretty sure everyone recognizes her pure heart, and that type of thing. We really get such pure..refreshment from her, so many times. I know she sometimes has her ups and downs, her feelings, but she always makes us, like happy, and glad and nice and calm. So, I really appreciate that. After she joined our group it must have been such a hard and tough time for her. But, she’s been doing great, that I can tell. And still, I can see that she’s growing up. Day by day, and step by step. She is studying, and she’s learning from every single thing. As her sister, it’s so, like, wonderful.

First of all, she’s a really sweet, nice person. That I know for sure. She’s really, she’s really so caring. Like, not just because she’s a leader, but just, as a person. She’s really caring. And when I first joined the team, obviously, I didn’t know anything. I was so new. But Sun was always there for me. She would tell me like… Honestly, I was very scared of Sun at first because she’s the leader, and if the leader hates me then that’s that. That’s a big thing. Like, if the leader doesn’t like me, what am I going to do, right? Like ‘oh my god’! And then I had to share a hotel room with Sun. So I was so nervous. We were in China for a show, but then Sun came the day after. So, I was alone in the hotel for the first day. So I was waiting for Sun, very very nervous. I was like “please, I hope she’s a nice person. I hope she’ll be nice to me”. But then, thank God, she was so sweet. And she was teaching me so many good things. Even now, she’s like a true, real sister to me. And I’m so happy to have her with me.

I am not the best of singers nor the best of dancers and have endured brickbats and such. I just hope to constantly progress as a singer, to hear “bit by bit, she has grown, she has improved,” comments. I hope to impress others into saying, “Wow, she has this little known side.”

Sohee from Wonder Girls came to me crying and talked about her concerns. She belittled herself by saying that she can’t sing or dance.
